Sunny Beach is situated in the southern part of the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. It is 40 kilometres north of the city of Burgas (or Bourgas). The simplest way to travel to Sunny Beach is to take a flight to Burgas International Airport but some flights are only available during the summer. An alternative route is via Varna Airport, which is about 90 minutes' drive from Sunny Beach.

Varna International Airport is situated just outside the city of Varna, on the road to Sofia. Varna airport offers scheduled flights to and from the UK all year round. Some of the scenery along the coast between Varna and Sunny Beach is truly spectacular. The road twists and turns as it winds its way up the hillsides and down into the valleys. From the hilltops are amazing views of the Black Sea, until the road finally dips down to the plain where the beaches of Elenite and Sunny Beach greet you.
