Camping Sites near Sunny Beach

A little way south of Bourgas is the resort of Sozopol which offers a number of camping sites with beautiful names including the Feast (Vesselie) the Fig (Smokinya), the Garden (Gradina), the Golden Fish (Zlatna Ribka) and the Willows (Kavatsite). Camping sites in Bulgaria are often quite unlike sites in Western Europe and the United States, so bear this in mind. The facilities, particularly toilets and wash rooms, are often very basic and, although there might be pitches for tents and caravans, most Bulgarian campers will stay in the wooden chalets provided on the sites.
